🌊 Water Safety Open Day at Loch Lomond – A Fantastic Day of Community and Safety! 🛟

What a day! The drizzle cleared leaving Loch Lomond bright, dry and picturesque and the Neighbourhood Watch Scotland team had a fantastic time at Water Safety Scotland’s Open Day.

So many organisations coming together to help keep people safe in and around the many coastlines and bodies of water in Scotland, whilst also raising awareness of World Drowning Prevention Day.

Thank you so much to everyone who stopped to chat and a big shout out to all the youngsters who played our lucky spinning wheel. You answered the water safety questions brilliantly and managed to bag some sweets as prizes. We were very impressed.

A special thank you also to the Chair of the Neighbourhood Watch Scotland Board for attending the event and supporting the NWS team throughout the day.

Thanks also to MSP Kirsten Oswald, Minister for Victims and Community Safety in Scotland, and MSP Dame Jackie Baillie who took the time to meet the team and hear about some of our ongoing community safety work, as well as the Neighbourhood Alert information sharing system.

And finally, thanks to our Water Safety Scotland colleagues for organising another wonderful, well attended and fun day.

Please visit the Water Safety Scotland website for more information on how to stay safe around water;
