“Shut Out Scammers” Event

Neighbourhood Watch Scotland had a fantastic day on Castle Street, Edinburgh, taking part in the Shut Out Scammers event alongside valued partners:

  • Police Scotland Edinburgh Prevention, Intervention & Partnerships
  • Lothian Buses
  • Age Scotland

Together, we engaged with members of the public, sharing practical advice on how to stay safe and avoid scams.

💬 Raising Awareness & Getting Involved

The event provided a great opportunity to highlight the work of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland:

We spoke with people about how simple it is to:

  • ✅ Join or start a local Neighbourhood Watch
  • ✅ Sign up to our free Neighbourhood Alert service for trusted updates and safety advice

👏 We were delighted by the interest throughout the event — including someone keen to set up a brand new Watch in their community.

🤝 Supporting Communities to Stay Safe

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat — it was great to see such positive community spirit in action.
