About 9 Alert 9 Extreme Wildfire Warning for the Whole of Scotland

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, in conjunction with the Scottish Wildfire Forum is issuing an extreme risk of wildfire across the whole of Scotland from today until Saturday, 2 May.

We know many people across Scotland will be wanting to enjoy the good weather across the bank holiday weekend. We ask that everyone does so responsibly.

Wildfires have the potential to destroy property, landscapes and wildlife. All it takes is one spark to spread, causing a large amount of damage.

Remember, there’s no such thing as a ‘harmless’ fire.

Share this wildfire warning to help spread the word.

Further information and safety advice can be found at https://www.firescotland.gov.uk/outdoors/wildfires/ and in the attached Wildfire Safety leaflet.
