Dear {FIRST_NAME},
It is the UK National Volunteers Week from 1st to the 7th June 2023 and we want to say a big thank you to all of our existing volunteers and co-ordinators.
As part of Volunteers Week, this year we are having a big recruitment drive to recruit new members and new co-ordinators to Neighbourhood Watch. We know one of the big reasons from many people about not joining is that is that they have never been asked. As an existing Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator, with your help, can you locally ask people to join an existing Neighbourhood Watch or to set up a new watch if they are not already covered? We have produced resources to assist with this and these are available to you by contacting
info@neighbourhoodwatchscotland.co.uk .
In additional support to the week, Neighbourhood Watch Scotland along with police and other key partners will be out and about to engage with new and existing NW members at a number of Dobbies Garden Centres across Scotland. We will be at the following Dobbies over lunch time to update you on what is current and will have some free crime prevention giveaways:-
1st June – Melville Nurseries, Lasswade2nd June – New Park Farm, Aberdeen3rd June – Huntingtower Park, Perth5th June – Houston Mains, Livingston6th June – Braehead, Glasgow7th June – Craigforth, Stirling
Please tell your watches and we hope to see you there.
Thank you in advance for your help and good luck.
