Perth City Centre Community Team have been carrying out high visibility patrols to deter theft and anti-social behaviour. Over the past few days, 3 persons have been charged and reported for theft and a 41 year old male arrested and charged for theft, assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
Perth City Centre Inspector James Longden states “Officers from Perth Community will be targeting antisocial behaviour and thefts from retail premises in the city centre over the coming weeks.

UPDATES
A 40 year old male appeared at Perth Sheriff Court and was remanded in custody in relation to an attempted robbery which occurred at Co-op, West Mains Avenue, Perth on Wednesday 14th June 2023.
A 41 year old male was arrested for assault and possession of an offensive weapon in relation to an incident which took place Saturday 17th June 2003 at South Street, Perth.
An 18 year old male was arrested in relation to a disturbance that took place in public at Kinnoull Street, Perth on Friday 16th June 2023.
A 43 year old male was arrested in relation to assaults and a disturbance that took place on Wednesday 14th June 2023 within High Street, Perth and Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.
A 47 year old female was arrested in relation to drink driving on Dunkeld Street, Aberfeldy.
A black Dog Trecker trailer that was stolen from a property at Hayfield Road, Glenfarg about 1am on Saturday 17th June 2023 was recovered later that morning by police near to the Path of Condie.
A 13 year old male will be reported to the Children’s Reporter in relation to shoplifting on Monday 19th June 2023 at Morrison Supermarket, Perth.
A 12 year old male will be reported to the Children’s Reporter in relation to shoplifting on Monday 19th June 2023 at B & M Stores, Perth.
During the last week 4 drivers have been found to be without insurance, 2 had no licence and 1 had no MOT.
RECENT INCIDENTS
Between 6:30pm on Wednesday 14th June and 7am on Thursday 15th June 2023 an Orange Peugeot 208 Motor vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a residential property at Kiteway, Perth was damaged by someone scoring offensive words on the side of the vehicle (CR/111422/23)
Around midnight on Wednesday 21st June 2023, offensive graffiti was sprayed on a residential property at St Andrew Street, Perth. (CR/114791/23). Suspect believed to be female.
Between 2pm on Wednesday 14th June and 2pm on Friday 16th June 2023, a blue Ford Kuga that was parked in the street on Green Park, Kinross was damaged with a dent to the driver’s door and scratches to the wheel arch (CR/113838/23)
At 5:30pm, Saturday 17th June 2023, four car batteries were attempted to be stolen from a Truck Haulage Yard, Main Road, Aberuthven. Suspect one is described as male, with a bread, dirty face and aged between 30 and 40. Suspect two is described as male who is aged between 30 and 40. They were seen to be driving a blue Ford Transit Van. (CR/113806/23)
