This Message is Distributed on Behalf of SGNDear {FIRST_NAME},We’ll shortly begin work to upgrade our gas network within the Snowdon Place area of Stirling.This essential work involves replacing of 2500m of metallic gas mains with new plastic pipe within the Kings Park area of Stirling, ensuring a continued safe and reliable gas supply to the local community. It will also ensure our network is ready for green sources of energy, such as hydrogen, in future.We’ve planned our work in close consultation with the local authorities to reduce disruption as much as possible. Our project will begin on Thursday 5 January and will be carried out by our contractor George Ritchie Utilities on our behalf and will take approximately 15 weeks to complete.During this project we will be required to suspend on street parking to ensure we gain safe access to our pipes. Access will be given to driveways and entrance gates at all times unless previously agreed with the occupier.Park Terrace will be closed between Snowdon Place and Drummond Place as will Park Avenue at its junction with Clarendon Place, these will not be in place for the full duration of the project.Temporary road signals will also be in use, these may cause delays during busy peak periods. We wish to assure you that work will progress as quickly as possible, and we will make every effort to minimise any inconvenience caused by our works.The following restrictions will also be in place:Road closures:· Park Terrace between Snowdon Place & Drummond Place· Park Avenue junction with Clarendon PlaceParking restrictions:· Victoria Place between Queens Road & Kings Park Road· Kings Park Road between Snowdon Place & 2 Park Terrace· Park Terrace between Drummond Place & Gladstone Place· Drummond Place between Kings Park Road & Snowdon Place· Southfield Crescent between Drummond Place & Gladstone Place· Snowdon Place between Gladstone Place & Park TerraceEmergency vehicle access will be maintained throughout our works.We’re as committed to protecting our customers and our colleagues now, as we were at the start of the coronavirus outbreak and continue to follow all UK and Scottish Government guidance.
