Following message is sent on behalf of SGN
Dear {FIRST_NAME},
Starting on 3 April 2023 until 8 October 2023 SGN engineers will be working to replace approx. 10.2km of old metallic gas main with new polyethylene PE pipe. To minimise disruption, SGN are working closely with Aberdeen City Council to plan any necessary traffic management and will be implementing a phased approach which is outlined on the attached bespoke leaflet we have created for local residents.
During each phase we will be operating a ‘Give and Take’ system however we will also be required to use temporary traffic lights at times. Any businesses in the local area will remain open as usual.
SGN wish to assure you that their work will progress as quickly as possible and they will be doing everything they can to limit delays and disruption and to ensure the project remains on schedule, working extended hours or at weekends as required. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and we’ll ensure that temporary traffic lights will be manually controlled if necessary during peak periods.
SGN are writing to residents and other local stakeholders to make them aware of the project and explain the details of our work.
Please feel free to also share this information with anyone you think may be impacted by our project.
