The following information is being circulated on behalf of SGN
Dear {FIRST_NAME},
Starting on 3 April 2023 until 17 September 2023 SGN engineers will be working to replace approx. 8.5km of old metallic gas main with new polyethylene PE pipe. To minimise disruption, we’re working closely with Angus Council to plan any necessary traffic management and will be implementing a phased approach which is outlined on the attached bespoke leaflet we have created for local residents.
Drop-in session
In addition, to answer any questions about this project, we’re holding a drop-in session at Carnoustie Leisure Centre on Tuesday, 4 April between 1pm and 8pm and if you happen to be in the area, you’d be very welcome to come and meet our team.
During each phase we will be operating a ‘Give and Take’ system however we will also be required to use temporary traffic lights at times. All local businesses in the local area will remain open as usual.
We wish to assure you that our work will progress as quickly as possible and we’ll be doing everything we can to limit delays and disruption and to ensure the project remains on schedule, working extended hours or at weekends as required. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and we’ll ensure that temporary traffic lights will be manually controlled if necessary during peak periods.
We’re writing to residents and other local stakeholders to make them aware of our project and explain the details of our work. Please feel free to also share this information with anyone you think may be impacted by our project.
