Hello all,
For those of you who don’t know me, I am PC Samson, one of your community Police Officers for the Kinross-shire area. I have worked in Kinross in community Policing for 4 years now and have a vested interested in the local area.
My colleague, PC Duncan, and I cover the electoral wards of Kinross-shire and a large portion of Almond and Earn. Our duties also include covering different planned events including football & protests throughout Perth & Kinross, and attending emergency calls when required.
In 2026, Police Scotland introduced a new model of Policing, recognising the importance of community policing. This was rolled out into our division, Tayside, in February. The model will allow us to engage with our communities more and help understand their policing concerns and needs.
As part of this we hope to bring regular updates on what we, as community Police officers do, and have therefore provided a monthly update for April. Some of our duties get posted about on ‘Police Scotland Tayside’ social media accounts and we also provide reports for our 8 community councils, to include in their meetings which cover incidents of note and Police activity in the specific areas.
Below is a flavour of some of our activities in April –
