About 9 Alert 9 Counterfeit currency.

There were a number of reports made to Police Scotland regarding counterfeit currency being used in local shops within the Dunblane area. A suspect was identified.

Local police officers thereafter executed a search warrant at a property in Dunblane.

A quantity of counterfeit notes were recovered, the perpetrator identified has been arrested and charged with 10 offences and has been remanded in custody.

Local people and business are reminded to be mindful of this as some of these counterfeit notes may still be in circulation.

We would like to thank the local businesses who reported these incidents to us.
